Chicklets in Paradise and Blog Award!

Today is Good Friday and I agree, 'tis good. =]

You're probably wondering what a tropical paradise theme has to do with a baby chick? Well it doesn't, but it is a hint as to a very special blog post to come. A collaboration between two amazing food bloggers and myself. Details to emerge in the coming weeks!

Xinmei creates art with her food, inspiring me to have some fun with what's on my plate as well. I wanted to thank Lacy over at NYC Eats and Natalie over at Foodatick for awarding me with the Versatile Blogger Award. Lacy is an outstanding food blogger who brings her A game to the table. She recently left me dreaming about her Potato Chip Pasta Corn Crema & Crab Asparagus Salad. If it sounds good, just imagine what it looks like. Don't imagine, go look! I guarantee you won't be able to stop thinking about it either. Natalie is a rockstar baker. Not only are her photos and desserts stunning, but she brings flavors together effortlessly with incredible results. One of my favorite recipes is her Tres Leches Cupcakes w/ Dulce de Leche Frosting. Try peeling your eyes away from that! 

I created the "egg nest" by dropping an egg into a pot of boiling water. (What was once an accident turned into an experiment) The crack will allow the egg to run, cooking it in strings. Results may vary.
